You are wondering:

-what are the rare pieces that the Crystal Artisan makes?

-How has his job evolved?

Society has changed a lot, we had to adapt.

Creating something new while maintaining quality and know-how.

But another question comes to mind: what are these novelties and how has the crystal "market" evolved?

You will find all the answers in this article and if you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask them.

In the meantime, enjoy reading.

To begin, Valéry Klein shares with us his vision of his profession.

“I have always been attracted to creation and fascinated by the noble material that is Crystal.

I started working in Crystal in 1980 at the age of 14. In the 80s, there were a multitude of tableware and gift shops in all the cities of France.

Over time these shops have tended to disappear. I can't say that I regret those years, because things are simply different. The search for a rare product that is only used for certain occasions is less frequent, but on the contrary, products that are easily consumable and usable every day sell very well. We had to adapt to this new form of consumption. That's why I do my best to offer products that are very accessible to everyone and for everyone. From glassware to crystal paste sculptures weighing over 80kg.

Finally, I am happy to do this job and to pass it on and I hope that the know-how of French crystal makers will live as long as possible and that we will be able to promote it and share it throughout the world because we can be proud of it. It is a unique and precious thing.

So are you ready to discover the history, know-how and passion of a French crystal factory that has lasted for almost 40 years?

See you soon, around a beautiful glass service or a beautiful sculpture: Yours, I hope."

L’Artisan du Cristal: rare and exceptional know-how above all.

Crystal maker at Baccarat since 1978, and Compagnon de France since 1980.

In 1994, L’Artisan du Cristal registered its brand: Cristal Klein 54120 Baccarat France.

A unique and rare product, made in France, in the greatest tradition.

It was through his father's profession that Valery Klein discovered his passion for Crystal. As you may have read above, he began learning his craft at the age of 14. Today, Artisan du Cristal's pieces are sold all over the world.

To grow, the company had to stand out. That is why it chose to create a range of rare and exceptional products that very few crystal makers dare to manufacture. It is also today one of the only crystal makers to make such spectacular pieces. This can be a risk because these are very expensive pieces that are among the least profitable works to manufacture, but they contribute greatly to the satisfaction of a job well done and to demonstrating a know-how that can only be found in France.

For example, the Monumental Sculpture Vase Bouquet of Lilies that you will find on the website artisanducristal.com . An exceptional piece due to its size and weight.

Rare and exceptional pieces that can't be found anywhere else.

A vase over a meter high, a sculpture weighing over 80 kilos of crystal, or even a champagne cellar... form a range of products that are unique in the world, which require know-how and many hours of work.

You should know that a giant vase will remain more than two months in an arch to be annealed, that it will take more than 200 hours of work to finalize it. The crystal factories that manufacture this type of product cannot even be counted on the fingers of one hand.

With more than 50 references, the range of "exceptional products" from Artisan du Cristal remains one of the most diverse and rare that you can find in the world. Always with the aim of perpetuating its know-how, hoping that it will live as long as possible because we can be proud of it. It is a unique and precious thing.

Crystal elevated to the rank of art.

Once again, Artisan du Cristal surprises us with its ever more impressive pieces.

Know-how and creations combine to create unique works that you will find nowhere else.

Knowledge that Valery Klein strives to transmit and share with the whole world.

What is Crystal according to Valery Klein?

Valery Klein has his own way of working with crystal. In love with this material for almost 40 years, which offers a wide range of creativity, every piece imagined and designed is the subject of more than 40 stages of production. From hot work to cold cutting to polishing, everything is done by hand in the workshops of the Artisan du Cristal. This is how each piece is unlike any other in terms of its shape and color. By creating monumental pieces, by daring to work on such spectacular pieces, Valery Klein stands out from his competitors in terms of creation and manufacturing. It is as a true creator that he imagines new, ever more spectacular pieces every year. This requires real know-how to be able to finalize them.

The “exceptional pieces” collection.

Always on the lookout for new creations and drawing on his experience with the biggest names in crystal, Valery Klein perpetuates the centuries-old tradition of the most prestigious crystal makers.

By combining precious metals such as gold and platinum, exceptional enamels, which when worked in fusion with crystal will give colors of unequaled depth, such as cobalt blue, ruby or emerald green which will illuminate objects and sculptures, each more original than the last.

Ancestral techniques such as working with the lost wax mold technique give rise to striking pieces in terms of both shapes and volumes, to the delight of the eyes.

Finally, as you have understood, Artisan du Cristal strives to perpetuate its know-how while seeking to adapt as much as possible to its customers.
