This one, originally, is intended to accommodate the delicious wines of Alsace, since its six colors represent six grape varieties of the region. It was designed by Karl Fabergé, for Tsar Nicholas II. These Rhine wine glasses, in colored crystal, are hand-cut using a traditional method. Each Roemer glass is made of white crystal then covered with a layer of color. It is then cut to find the primary layer and thus create contrasting and deep decorations that reveal the sparkle of the material.
